Well I’m sure you’ve noticed the world is a little intense lately….. What a time to be alive!?! What a blessing to be here for such an adventure. What an opportunity to grow.

Right now, as we are in the midst of a lot of retrogrades, we have the opportunity to REflect on a lot of what is going on. This is happening on both a personal and collective level. However, a lot of it is collective, since we’re experiencing the outer planets as retrograde. I’ve certainly noticed there is lots of communal dialogue about the direction we’re going as a society and species. I hope you’re all also taking time to reflect upon how you feel about everything going on right now. Journaling can be a great tool this summer, as well as speaking with one another as we process our ever-changing world.

As fun as astrology is to try to project what the vibe might be like as time goes on, we are all active agents of our own life and I believe we have complete free will to act independently. As a result, the future is impossible to predict with any clear certainty.

One of my favorite messages of astrology is just backing up the universal truth that change is constant. No matter how things feel this month, they will feel different as time goes on. Transformation is inevitable. And we have power to steer our own transformation if we work on it with intention and direction.

Ask yourself this month – who do you want to become? Do you feel like you have direction in your life? Who do you want to be? What feels right to you, and what does not? We do not have power over everything in our lives, but we do have thousands of tiny choices every day, all day long. The choices we make add up to become the substance of our lives. However sometimes the most important choice we can make is letting go. Every day asks something new of us. Keep an open heart and stay observant to what the universe is asking of you at any given life stage. The more we can respond to a given moment with maturity and willingness to change and grow, the better.

For next month, August 2025, we will have a lot of activity with Venus who is currently in the sign of Cancer. Venus is one of the “personal planets” since it is inside the orbit of the earth and the sun, rather than outside the earth orbit. This can manifest as more activity in our personal lives taking center stage. Please embrace this opportunity to really give attention to your feelings, your relationships, and the implications it has for how you want to show up in your life.

There’s also some action with Mars, planet of activity, mission, and war. Sometimes in life we need to show up ready to RUMBLE! You got this. Lets confront life like humble warriors ready to get things done.

Speaking of Warriors, Chiron also has some activity this month. Chiron is a wounded healer, a retired wise warrior with a mission to heal. I love some good Chiron energy, he is so powerful. When life starts to hurt, Chiron asks us to feel it and show up for that moment, don’t push it away. Only by paying attention to the problem can we respond appropriately.

Little life update: I completed 333 miles of the Appalachian Trail in 1 month as planned! It went great and we saw a massive rattlesnake, made friends with some ex-Marines who were our traveling companions for the majority of our trip, and of course we hiked up a bunch of mountains. A longstanding tradition on the Appalachian Trail is for every hiker to give out nicknames to each other. I was given the trail name “Audible” because I would read Lord of the Rings as a bedtime story to everyone at camp and they loved it!

Next adventures on the horizion: Settling into our new jobs, getting to know the area more, laying the groundwork for getting a house (fingers crossed!), and continuing to pour energy and love into our family relationships here.
